About the role:

Are you a passionate leader in vocational education with a drive to shape the future of health programs? Box Hill Institute is seeking a passionate Coordinator – Health Programs to lead a team of educators in delivering innovative, high-quality training that makes a real difference in the community.

As the Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, delivering, and continuously improving health-related programs such as Allied Health Assistance, Aging Support, Disability Support, Dental Assistance, and Health Services Assistance. You’ll lead a team of educators, manage operational effectiveness, and ensure an exceptional student experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll:

  • Coach and support teachers to deliver outstanding learning outcomes
  • Oversee program compliance, quality assurance, and curriculum innovation
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to ensure relevance and growth
  • Drive student retention and satisfaction through proactive support
  • Contribute to strategic planning and budget management

This is a part-time (0.6EFT), fixed-term to December 2026 opportunity based at our Box Hill Campus. This position reports directly to the Manager – Health Programs, and sits within the Health programs area of the Faculty of Health, Community & Animals. Teaching may be required on occasion.

About you:

  • A relevant approved AQF Level 6 qualification in adult and vocational education (or willingness to obtain).
  • A Certificate III or higher vocational qualification and industry experience relevant to that delivered within the Health Programs department, such as:
    • Allied Health Assistance
    • Aging Support
    • Disability Support
    • Dental Assistance
    • Health Services Assistance
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Expertise in competency-based training and assessment
  • A passion for continuous improvement and student success
  • Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance
